OSTEOPATHY FOR REGENTS PARK FC

John and Nicky have become increasingly aware of the importance of both preventing and treating sports related injuries.  Many members have missed training and matches as a result of pulled muscles and various sprains.  It is essential that we learn the necessary strengthening exercises and deal with injuries as soon as they occur.

To that end, we have linked up with Gavin Burt, a renowned sports osteopath. 

Gavin will work with John to create preventative regimes to keep our members strong.  We recommend that all our players should visit Gavin for treatment as and when an injury occurs. 

Gavin understands that we have many members on concessionary rates and so has very kindly agreed to sponsor two of our members at any given time.  Please contact Nicky if you wish to discuss this further. 

We hope to liaise with the Hub so that we can open a Regents Park FC surgery in association with Backs and Beyond twice a month on Saturday mornings.

Gavin's surgery, Backs and Beyond is based in Dartmouth Park (just around the corner from our mid-week training venue, Acland Burghley). 

Gavin Burt, registered osteopath, set up his clinic due to a special interest in the treatment of sports injuries.  Gavin has been treating sportspeople for the last 11 years, ranging from week-end warriors to elite athletes such as Paula Radcliffe. 

Gavin's osteopathic associate is Jamie Dearing, a New Zealander, who also has a special interest in Sports Injuries. He is involved in research, with one of his papers winning the top prize this year in a competition between researchers from the Physiotherapy and Osteopathy professions.
