Club Guidelines
We aim to provide a supportive environment for all members of the Clubs. It is therefore important that all our members, be they our kids, coaches, staff and mums and dads, and carers, agree to be bound by our Club Guidelines. As part of your commitment to the Club, team and coach, please take the time to read this essential information. By becoming a member of any of our Clubs each parent or carer agrees that they and their child are bound by the Club Guidelines, breach of which could result in the child, parent or carer being asked to leave the club.
Code of Conduct for Players
Our Clubs are fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of all its members. The club believes that it is important that members, coaches, administrators and parents associated with the club should, at all times, show respect and understanding for the safety and welfare of others.
As a member of our clubs you are expected to abide by the following PLAYERS CODE OF CONDUCT:
- All players must play within the rules and respect officials and their decisions.
- All players must respect and value their fellow players regardless of gender, ability, cultural background or religion.
- All players are expected to keep to the training and match schedule and to notify their coach/manager if they are unable to attend or will be late.
- Players must wear appropriate clothing and footwear to all training sessions and matches.
- Players must pay any fees for training or events promptly.
- If a player breaks our code of conduct they will subject to our yellow and red card disciplinary process.
All Regents Park players are not allowed to consume alcohol or drugs of any kind on the club premises and whilst representing the club must behave in an appropriate and respectful manner.
Code of Conduct for Parents and Supporters
- Encourage your child to understand the importance of rules and fair play.
- Forbid unfair play and arguing with officials and coaches.
- Help your child to understand the importance of good performance and not just good results. Stand behind the designated barriers at matches and allow the players to be coached by their manager. The children must be permitted to make their own decisions and their own mistakes to allow them to develop as individuals and players.
- Never force your child to partake in sport against their will.
- Set a good example by recognising fair play and applauding good performances of all.
- Never punish or belittle a child for losing or making mistakes.
- Never dispute an official’s judgement.
- Encourage and support your child and help them to enjoy their sport.
- Use correct and proper language at all times.
- Encourage and guide participants to accept responsibility for their own performance and behaviour.
- Regents Park FC requires that parents abide at all times by our code of conduct.
Code of Conduct for Coaches
Regents Park FC coaches MUST
- Respect the rights, dignity and worth of each and every person and treat each equally.
- Must place the well-being and safety of each player above all else
- Must develop an appropriate working relationship with each player based on mutual trust and respect.
- Must encourage and guide players to accept responsibility for their own behaviour and performance.
- Must ensure that all activities they direct are appropriate for the age, maturity and ability of players
- Must always promote the positive aspects of the sport (eg fair play).
- Must always display high standards of behaviour and appearance
- Must not use or tolerate inappropriate language.
Regents Park FC requires that their coaches abide at all times by our code of conduct.
