Proven "Your coaching and your sessions are the best we've ever seen!" Will Cave, Camden Sports Development Team.
Professional"John McCulloch and his professionally trained coaches at Regents Park FC know exactly how to bring out the best in children and make them all-rounded team players" John Cartwright, ex-technical director, FA School and Head Youth Coach, Arsenal.
Regents Park FC is a football club for boys and girls of 5-16. It was formed by John McCulloch and Nicky Keen in 2006.
The Club has been created out of a true desire to be the best club in London – if not the UK.
John was once a very good 24 year old professional player who stopped playing the game because he became so disillusioned by poor coaching and the attitude of the game. It was his desire to create a club where the training is of the highest standard, where the children improve weekly while having fun. John felt that, although local football clubs could be super, they were mostly run by dads of players and not by professional coaches who are trained to develop each child individually. John has travelled far and wide to create the best coaching programme possible – a programme amalgamating the finest coaching methods to create a unique approach.
Nicky, joined John towards the end of 2006, after a 20 year career in television. Nicky, who has a young football-playing son, was so impressed by John's ethos that she became determined to help John create a football club where professional coaches could follow John's carefully crafted session plans, constructed using methods gathered from throughout the world. The aim is for the children to develop skills while learning to respect one another. We seek to make the children aware of nutrition, physiology and the importance of competing without necessarily winning – but most of all to create a real community through football.
The aim of the club is to provide an environment where truly talented players can develop into exceptional footballers, while those that have not yet developed can improve at their own speed and feel just as happy.
Regents Park FC will not tolerate bad behaviour – any child who does not adhere to the code of conduct will be dealt with using our yellow and red card system.
We will not sit back on our laurels -we aim to constantly re-assess the way we train our children, to keep a balanced view and to look and learn from the best football and fitness training professionals globally. Our coaches attend courses regularly in order to improve their teaching methods.
We are fully-inclusive and want to welcome children of all standards, backgrounds and areas of London. We promise the very best coaching and training for all our players and coaches. We want our members to feel that they are part of a family and therefore work hard to keep to our philosophy of skill, fun, heart and honour which comes from practise, practise and more practise.
