Club Ethos

Regents Park FC is a football club for boys and girls of 5-16. Regents Park takes inclusion very seriously and would like to offer training and development opportunities to boys and girls of all levels. There is not a selection process to join our club. We offer concessionary rates and full bursaries.

Our aim is to fully develop the children's individual skills as well as their collective play with the priority and emphasis being on playing good football rather than simply just winning matches. Our aim is dedicated to constantly improving and challenging the way grassroot football is coached and played here in the UK and to offer training of the highest standard. John McCulloch regularly travels to learn from the best coaches world-wide in order to create his unique coaching programme which amalgamates and combines the best global techniques. His programme combines the best of South American and European teaching methods and allows children to understand the use of space, movement and the importance of skills development both as individuals and as team players.

Codes of Conduct

CHILDREN:

Regents Park FC will not tolerate inappropriate behaviour – any child who does not adhere to our code of conduct (Players Code of Conduct) will be dealt with using our yellow and red card system. Parents are encouraged to reinforce our behaviour policy. The club has its own Child Welfare Officer. Our child protection policy is outlined on our website. (Child Protection Policy)

PARENTS/CARERS :

Regents Park FC will not tolerate parents who do not abide by our code of conduct   (Parents Code of Conduct)

COACHES:

In line with our policy to safeguard children, the Club has copies of all coaching certificates and CRB checks. All the coaches are constantly mentored and use the teaching programme developed by the John McCulloch, Coaching Director. All coaches assess the progress of their players and report to the club on a regular basis.  Regents Park FC coaches must abide by our code of conduct (Coach Code of Conduct)

Team Selection

We realise that most children like to play in football matches. Regents Park FC will endeavour to provide match opportunities for children of all abilities. We continually monitor all the children and liaise on a weekly basis with their coaches to assess their progress. Regents Park FC enters teams in two North London Leagues – Regents Park League and Camden and Islington Youth League. In addition the club regularly organises intra-club matches and ‘friendly' matches with other clubs.

Our objective is to allow players of all standards to take part in some form of competitive play.

Children who are deemed by the club to be ready to compete at league level will be selected for League teams. They will then be required to attend additional training sessions in order to maintain their standard and to train as a team
