	Regents Park Football Club Football for Girls in Regents Park New Football League For Girls in Regents Park Regents Park (the hub), sph housing and Regents Park FC have come together to launch a new football league for girls aged 8 - 12 years First Sunday of every month 11am to 1pm from January 11th to June 7th. Regents Park FC will provide any girls who are not already linked with a team, coaching for 2 hours every Saturday 10am-12.00. The coaching will be free to those who are on free school lunch register or whose families are on benefits. However, those who can afford it will be charged £8 for the 2 hours. Sunday 7th of December 2008 witnessed the first of a series of one day league tournaments for girls held at the Hub in Regent’s Park. It was a very enjoyable and successful start with seven teams participating from across North London. There were teams in both the Under 10 and Under 12 age groups ‘The Hub Girls Football League’ will now take place on the first Sunday of every month until June 2009 and is open not only to Under 10 and Under 12 teams but to individual girls who can turn up unannounced and be placed in a team on the day. Regents Park FC is proud that every participant was given a certificate offering them a free training session with our girls on Saturday mornings in Regent’s Park. Our Under 12’s only lost one game and our Under 10’s were extremely successful. Regents Park FC is now working in conjunction with the Royal Parks (Hub) and SPH Housing to run these league tournaments and to ensure that they continue to grow. We hope to encourage girls of all abilities to come and have fun and play competitive football. We also welcome girls of any age who wishe to have a go to come and join our Girls Only training session on Saturday mornings from 10am – 12.00.
